Homeless


  • 60,000 homeless in NYC, 25,000 are children
  • To start one: stand-alone facility, 300 flashlights, 400 bunk beds, 160 wash cloths, 20 receiving blankets, and 1 mailbox
  • 24 shelters opened in 2014, 11 opened in 2013 (WSJ)
